So while I've been on bedrest, I managed to rustle up a few holiday tags.  Nothing too fancy.  I'll save that for when I can be a little more active.

Here is what I did so far.  Bear in mind, there's more to come!

Today was a good day.

No pictures to post.. nothing crafty.  Just that today was a good day. One of the better days in a long long time.

First I had a spa pedicure and my tootsies got an extra special treat.

Then I made the world's most awesome turkey sandwich for lunch.

Coffee date with my best friend.  It's been so long since we've been able to sit down and just chat.  Life is just so darned busy.

And now cuddles with my cute kitty cat and dinner and movie date with my darling husband.

Pretty good day overall.

Flaky Friends and Ornaments

Hello my name is Renata and I'm addicted to snowmen.  Acceptance is the first step right?  Who am I kidding, I love my snowmen and always well.  These little guys are completely adorable.  This is my go to Christmas set.  So glad I decided to buy it before Stampin Up discontinued it.

Instead of regular cardstock, I used a thick Watercolour paper.  I found it gave the card a bit more something to it.  Then I lightly sprayed the surface of it with Smooch pearl spray.  I love the smooch but I think I prefer the Tattered Angels pearl mist instead.  Then I coloured them in and sponged the colour around them.

In the end, I really liked how it turned out.

My second card was a clean and simple design.  The little ornaments are so versatile and pretty much go with anything.

For both cards I used Stickles and much like Snowmen, I'm addicted to Stickles.  I admit I love pretty sparkly things!

Snowman Love!

I have to admit.  I love these little guys.  Something about them is so very comforting, like a cup of warm hot chocolate on a cold winter's day.

I'm trying to stick to only a few colour palette combinations this year.  First is the classic red and green.  In my books you can't go wrong with the tried and true classic combo.

Second I'm playing around with the blues.  I'm not quite sure which direction I want to go.  The lighter paler blue combo or a darker richer palette.

This is a cute little gift card holder. The inside piece pops out and voila a little surprise on the inside.  I think  it's quite a clever way of presenting a gift card.

I think next up will be Christmas ornaments!!

Too cute not to share!

I had to share this!  I got the dirty looks for interrupting snuggle time.  But so cute!

It has nothing to do with crafts of any kind but these two manage to brighten up my most darkest days!

Long time no post!

So I guess the last time I posted was at the beginning of the year.  It hasn't been a very good year.  Hopefully good things are on it's way now.  I'll be posting a bit more now, I'm on bedrest for the next three weeks and I plan on catching up.

So I started my Christmas cards last week.  I was so excited to recieve my Stampin Up order and I broke out my goodies right away.

I love the little snowmen from this set!  So versatile and just darn cute.  I'm loving the blues for this season. I think I might try to do some jewel tones for my next batch.

Christmas 2010

Well with Christmas come and gone, I thought I would share some cards I did this Christmas.  I didn't have time to mass produce as the clinic took up alot of my free time.  But I did manage to make some goodies for myself this year.

I'm back!!

It's been such a ridiculously long time since I've updated.  Has it really been since last August. Wow!!

Well so many things have been in the works since then.  I stopped blogging for a while so we could get focused at the Fertility Clinic.   And now we are taking a break with it for a while, at least until the spring when we do IVF.  But that is a whole other chapter.  So in the meantime, lets just all keep our fingers crossed and keep wishing on those stars.  Where's that little cricket when you need him.

So I promise this year.. and yes I do promise I will try to blog at least 1-2 times a week.  I know not everyone might be reading this but it really does help.  And when life is full of complications, a little help goes a long long way.
